Mr. Worthington’s practice centers primarily in the areas of insurance coverage and bad faith law, and appellate practice. Mr. Worthington practices in state and federal courts in both California and Nevada. He presents seminars annually to attorneys and insurance professionals on both insurance law and bad faith law. His goal in working with insurance professionals is not only to provide guidance on the laws and standards for coverage and bad faith, but also to give insight preemptively as to how coverage issues can be addressed so as to avoid bad faith lawsuits and liability. Mr. Worthington also presents seminars to other attorneys on appellate law. He is a member of the Appellate Court Committee for the Fourth Appellate District Court of Appeals in California, and has served as that Committee’s Chair. Mr. Worthington is also on the Board of the California Conference of Bar Associations, which acts on legislative issues for members of the State Bar.
Mr. Worthington was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, received a Bachelor of Arts Degree, with honors, from the University of Wisconsin in 1991 and his Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1995. He was admitted to the California Bar and the United States District Court, Southern District of California in 1995, and the Illinois and Nevada Bars in 1996.
